Bellona

Bellona is the planet in the Epsilon Indi star system, one hop away from Earch. It's name, Bellona, is due to its visual similarities to Mars including its ferrous surface and red sky. Approximately 13.5 light years away, the planet becaome one of the first inhabited planets outside the solar system, the other being Janus. The closest known Earth-like planet (including Mars), travel to Bellona would allow scientists to inspect the planet for foreign life, explore the possibility of colonization, and aid in the examination of the Milky Way. While initially a small colony based on a mining economy, Bellona would become one of the major commerce planets in the inhabited universe.
