Tau Ceti is a colony in the Sirius Corridor, along with Gaia, Janus, and Proserpina. It was founded by the Daedalus 6 voyage to be a mining colony due to a high expectation of exposed heavy metals in its asteroids. It is connected by wormhole to Janus, its primary business partner. It is currently controlled by the Sirius Military Consulate.
History

Founded by the Eridani Trust before the war, the colony was an important source raw materials for the Trust. Halting extraction and production for the Trust was one of the major turning points that allowed the Sirius Military Consulate to gain control of the Sirius Corridor before it was reintegrated with the inhabited universe
