Free Proserpina Union

The Free Proserpina Union is a faction of the Sirius Conflict found only on Proserpina, but which remains very relevant to the planet's local politics and power structure. The Union was formed several years after the Kapteyn wormhole was destroyed, and gained widespread support when it became clear that the Sirius Military Consulate had not sent out a Daedalus ship to reintegrate Kapteyn near the time the wormhole was destroyed, causing many to feel abandoned by the SMC. At some point during the conflict on Proserpina, the FPU discovered the Athenaeum and began to use alien biotechnology amongst its weaponry, turning the tide of the war for Proserpina.
