Earth Relative Time

Earth Relative Time (ERT), also known as Central European Time, is the standard interstellar time for communications. While it is only relative to the solar motion observed from the CET timezone, the convergence of wormholes that connect to Earth is in Geneva, Switzerland.

Relation to other time systems

Earth Relative Time is the most temporally advanced time in the inhabited universe. While all time is in truth relative, all inhabited planets observe Earth's time to be further ahead than their own. This is due to the time dilation experienced by the microwormholes traveling on Daedalus transports, which travel very close to the speed of light as observed from Earth. At their top speed, time passes about three times slower on a Daedalus transport than on Earth, and remain at this top speed longer for lengthier trips. This is why, assuming a comparable rest frame for all persons, residents of Sirius Station would experience time 3.506 years before people on Earth would but residents of Janus would experience time only 3.109 years before Sirius.
