Wormhole Engineer

Scientists who are responsible for installing microwormholes in new areas of the galaxy are called Wormhole Engineers. They travel on Daedalus transports to uninhabited star systems, usually while in stasis to minimize the energy requirements of the ship. Upon arriving at their destination, they assess the potential value of the system and either enter the ship into a stable orbit or land it. The microwormhole is then enlarged using negamass to accommodate human travel between the ship's origin and destination systems.
