Military organization started on [[Gaia]] by the [[Eridani Trust]] to protect their interests on the planet. After the destruction of the [[wormhole]] between [[Janus]] and [[Sirius Station|Sirius]], the Sirius Military Consulate (SMC) instigated a coup, knowing that the wormhole could not be reconstructed for another 5 years. While ultimately successful, the SMC burned several bridges to acquire its hold on the worlds beyond Sirius. Infamously, the SMC decided to divert economic resources from the reintegration of [[Persephone]] to fuel their conflict against the [[Eridani Trust]]. The Consulate now controls the worlds beyond Sirius. Notable members include [[Alexia]], [[James]], and [[Devon]] who were both assigned to the [[Daedalus (ship)|Daedalus]] mission to reintegrate Kapteyn to the [[Inhabited Universe]].
